Apple - Charles Ross
Available for collection from Assington, Suffolk
A classic late Victorian English apple. Very similar to the Cox's Orange Pippin in appearance, greenish-yellow with orange-red flush. Good sweet flavour, can be used as a cooker as the flavour is quite sharp early season but sweetens if the fruit remains longer on the tree. Harvest between September and early Oct.
Pollination group C
